The Asia-Pacific Conferences on Conceptual Modelling provide an annual forum for disseminating the results of innovative research in information modelling and related areas. The second running of this conference will be in early 2005 as part of the Australasian Computer Science Week (ACSW 2005), which also includes the following conferences and workshops:
The Australasian Computer Science Week 2005 will be hosted by the School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at The University of Newcastle. Conference venues will be centered around Newcastle City Hall, which is conveniently located in the heart of the city, close to hotels, restaurants and Newcastle's famous beaches.
Registration to APCCM will enable delegates to attend sessions in any conference participating in the Australasian Computer Science Week.
Scope of the Conference
The actual amount, complexity and diversity of information are increasing day by day. Information that has to be conceptualised and efficiently organised in order to be useful. Conceptual modelling is fundamental to the development of up-to-date information and knowledge-based systems. The conference series aims on bringing together experts from all areas of computer science and information systems with a common interest in the subject. APCCM invites contributions addressing current research in conceptual modelling as well as experiences, novel applications and future challenges. Topics of interest include, but are not restricted to:
Paper Submission
APCCM invites papers describing original contributions in all fields of conceptual modelling and related areas. Each submission will be judged on its originality, significance, technical quality, relevance to APCCM and presentation. Submissions of a paper should be regarded as an undertaking that, should the paper be accepted, at least one author will attend the conference to present the work.
Submitted papers should be no more than 10 pages in length conforming to the formatting instructions for the series Conferences in Research and Practice in Information Technology. (Instructions are available in section 'Information for Conference Series Authors'.) Submitted papers must include the authors' names, addresses, email addresses, a 200 word abstract, and 3 to 6 keywords identifying the subject area. Two LaTeX style files (CRPITStyle.cls & harvard.sty), a sample LaTeX document, and a sample Word style file are available.
Submission to APCCM 2005 will be electronically only via the APCCM 2005 website. Authors are asked to submit first an abstract and then to upload the full paper using the paper-id assigned by the system.
Paper submission is closed.
If you encounter any problems, please contact M.Kirchberg@massey.ac.nz.
Publication
The proceedings of the conference will be published by the Australian
Computer Society as part Conferences in Research and Practice in Information
Technology series (CRPIT)
which is also held in full-text on the ACM Digital Library.
After the conference authors of the best papers will be invited to submit an
extended version for publication in the Journal of Research and Practice in
Information Technology (JRPIT).
